“Sixteen year old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight” - from goodreads

Simon is a Oreo loving guy, who cares (maybe just a bit to much) about his loved ones. He is a cute nerd (just like us book nerds!!) and has never fallen in love until he meets Blue from a online app called Creeksecrets. Blue is shy, loves Oreos, and loves to email Simon (this is probably the best part of his day.)

This cute fluffy romance novel might very well melt your heart into a puddle on the ground. As you read about Simon and Blue’s first email, when they try to meet up in real life, their first kiss, you will feel it all too. Simon and Blue will go through struggles as they try and navigate their relationship. Will they ever meet in real life? Does Blue want to be boyfriends? What would it be like in real life? Does Blue want to give Simon his number?

Even as they go through these struggles you will be rooting for them throughout the entire book. You will want them to experience the magical moments that people have when they are in a relationship, whether it be going on a date or sharing a milkshake. It will leave you wanting more, wanting more of Simon and his goofiness and Blue’s shyness.

But in this book, It’s not just the main characters that you are going to love, it will be every single friend (except for Martin…) Simon has made along his journey Abby, Leah, Nick…and many more. Gather your Oreos, waffles, and a drink, because you may be hungry when you finish this book. You will not be able to put it down.

“White shouldn’t be the default anymore then straight should be the default. There shouldn’t even be a default”- Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda
